Spooky Specters Zine is a for profit, SFW physical zine centered around how supernatural beings such as ghosts appear in different fandoms. This zine allows art, literary works, as well as cosplays!


Meet The Moderators!!!

Li (they/he/neos)
Head Mod, Art, and Merch Contributor

Li is an amateur artist based in Jakarta. They have previously helped with several non-profit as well as for profit organizations, such as booting in cons for profit. Li has always been in love with the gothic scene, especially when it comes to fashion and aesthetics. Gabriella(She/Her)
Graphics Moderator, Carrd Manager

Gabriella, known to her online community as Nyx, is a self-taught artist based in New York City. She has done multiple semesters of Graphic Design courses at the Cooper Union, and will be attending Parsons School of Design to further her education. She loves designing new original characters in her free time, and is obsessed with fantasy and mythological themes. Isabella (She/Her)

Isabella is a newly appointed English teacher and translator, having worked with several languages, mainly English, Greek, and German. Her love for reading and writing led her to grow fond of the gothic genre, even studying several notable gothic works during her time as a university student. Since she has spent a lot of time working and studying within the fields of linguistics, literature and language learning, she will serve as a writing moderator for this project, and offer her hand in writing, proofreading, and editing whenever needed.

SocksGlows is an up and coming artist. Socks have always been captivated by their favorite anime and video games, namely Mega Man X and Dragon Ball, which led them to pursue video game development and art. With his skills, Socks will be assisting on art for the project.

RainyDayHaze is an artist whose inspirations include, but are not limited to, video games, literature, and music. She has a fondness for psychological horror in various forms of media, which she hopes will be useful for assisting in this project.

Mk Zariel (it/they)
Graphics Moderator

Mk zariel is a trans masculine lesbian anarchist, influenced by the Queers Bash Back tendency. It hosts the podcast THE CHILD AND ITS ENEMIES (about being in high school and organizing), writes for the Anarchist Review of Books, and writes the blog DEBATE ME BRO (a y2k style advice column about anarchy-101 stuff). It’s poetry is published (or forthcoming) in Unfuturing, Nor Your Poster Child, Free Verse Revolution, What We Think About When We Think About Love, Chasing the Storm, A Rose By Any Other Name, Suburban Witchcraft, and MyrtleHaus. Its photography is soon to be featured in Coin Operated Press’ queer photography zine. It also organized trans liberationist spaces across the Great Lakes region, performs spoken-word and theater, does graphic design for social movements, and vibes to classic queer core. Frequently Asked Questions

Are Ships Allowed?
Yes! Ships are allowed in the zine, as long as it is kept SFW (Safe for Work)
Will This Zine Include Spoilers for Different Fandoms?
We will be trying our best to minimize spoilers for the different fandoms. However, there is no guarantee that every work will refrain from spoilers.
Are AU’s (Alternate Universes) Allowed?
For this zine, contributors must try their best to implement canonical supernatural being(s) from their works instead of alternate universes. Of course, if there is no supernatural beings in a fandom, contributors can always choose to create one that they see fit for that universe.
Is This Zine Paid?
This zine is for profit, hence why it will be paid. Moderators and contributors will share profit according to the revenue received from sales.
Is There An Age Limit?
Since this zine is for profit, we require all contributors to be 16+, or at least have parental consent if you are a minor.
